Overview

WSQ Data Governance (A Platform Approach to Governing Personal Data & Demonstrating Accountability) is designed to equip learners with the knowledge and abilities to assist data protection officers or to take on data governance roles. The “programme will equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge of data governance.

Learning Objectives

The learning units are sequenced to cover the principles from an information life cycle with an understanding of principles and laws required, followed by implementation of a data governance framework. This provides insights to learners on the roles and responsibilities of officers in charge of data governance as well as policies and SOPs required.

On completion of the course, the participant should be able to:

understand the information life cycle and relevant principles of data governance
apply the principles within the Information life cycle when collecting, using, disclosing and transfer of data.
develop and demonstrate accountability and responsibilities for data governance.

📌 COVID19 ( On-Location Classroom Requirements )

All participants must be fully vaccinated or have recovered from COVID-19 within the last 180 days, in order to enter the premises. If participant is medically ineligible for vaccination, please be ready to present the letter of exemption/ memo issued by the doctor.
Participants who are unwell with flu-like symptoms should not attend class but seek medical attention immediately and be tested for COVID-19. Unwell individuals should remain at home until they test negative for COVID-19.
Participants who have been issued a Health Risk Warning (HRW) should not come into the premises but isolate themselves at home and do the ART.
All participants are required to check in and out using TraceTogether-only SafeEntry when entering or leaving the premises.
All participants are required to wear masks at all times. Participants should wear masks with good filtration capability such as surgical masks or reusable masks of equivalent effectiveness that are made of at least two layers of fabric.
All participants should keep at least 1m apart at all times during the class.

📌 SSG Requirements

Assessment information

As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore funding, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the training.
The candidate will be assessed on a 1:1 basis.
The oral questioning will be conducted five days after the end of training.
The candidate is expected to submit the written assignment two days after the end of training.
Candidates who are marked as “Not-Yet-Competent” will be required to be re-assessed and need to pay a re-assessment fee of $100.
